William & Blackjack the Dragon stories, 10:15 & 3:30
Join this wonderfully fun local storyteller for stories that appeal to all ages plus William, Blackjack, and Captain Julie will be at KidsQuest throughout the day, giving out “magic bubbles.”
Creations with a Twist, 10:30—?Featuring the balloon twisting talents of Daniel Poe of Des Moines. Get your own balloon art. (Free balloon tickets at library table, as long as supplies last, starting at 10:30 a.m.)
MPL Storytime, 11:30-12:00
Ahoy, Matey! Fun sailor stories, plus make a paper boat!
“The Accordion Man” Keith Lambertsen, 12:30-1:30
Keith Lambertsen will be there at 12:30 to share his accordions of all shapes and sizes. He will also perform on the Tye Stage, starting at 2 p.m.
Magician Rick Eugene, 2:00-3:30
Funny magician will entertain kids in this area with fun magic tricks. Mini show at 3:00.
Hands-On Activities, Games, & Crafts, 11:00-3:00

- Community Y- Tumblebus (6 years old and younger) & Painting Wall
- Marshalltown Public Library—“Make a Splash” watercolor animals, face painting, chalk - Get “bitten” by the library shark, & play on the beach. Summer readers: stamp for EXTRA points

- Central Iowa Art Association—free arts activities for kids in the studio
- Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa - free hands-on crafts
